how we do it

Though every project differs in scope and scale, we consistently start with a baseline process in order to learn about your company and understand the needs of the project. This helps us to set the appropriate goals for a successful outcome.

discovery

Every project begins with the discovery phase. This is where we listen and ask questions to find out what's working and what isn't. This takes the form of questionnaires, live discussions with key stakeholders, and an audit of any existing materials you may have. Sometimes it includes a competitive analysis of similar brands or companies in your space. Learning as much as we can about your company and project allows us to develop an approach that makes the most sense.

positioning (if applicable)

Based on our findings in discovery, we develop your position. This is a statement of what makes you different than every other brand or company in your space. Your position serves as your north star, aligning your team and guiding everything that you do.

creative brief

This is where we boil down what we have learned so far. It includes things like competitive analysis results, aspirational styles, brand attributes and design goals. The brief is shared with your team to ensure we are in alignment. Once approved by you, we can begin the ideation phase.

ideation, development, and refinement
The approved brief is shared with the design team and serves as our collective guide. We explore directions for the project and develop contextual mockups to test and illustrate viability. Our goal for the initial presentation is to offer a focused range of options that can be refined further into a single, cohesive solution. After the initial concept presentation, you will have the opportunity to provide feedback for revisions. This is the part where we collaborate to calibrate the direction for the next presentation. Once we arrive at a winning concept, we fine tune further and export all assets in multiple formats for immediate usage
organization
In the case of a branding project,  we catalogue all new assets in a comprehensive set of brand guidelines. This invaluable tool serves as your internal road map with direction on how to effectively deploy and protect the long term integrity of your brand. Your brand guidelines contain all logo types and their usage parameters, color and type specifications, do's and dont's, and any graphic elements that are developed.
In the case of other project types, we collect and organize all you your assets and hand off files for future use.
